Journey to Clausthal
Clausthal-Zellerfeld is located between Göttingen and Braunschweig, in the middle of Germany. The institute of Mathematics is located in the downtown area of Clausthal, just behind the former post building and only one minute by foot away from Kronenplatz / the bus stop Kronenplatz. You can find detailed directions here.
Location of the institute within Clausthal
If you enter Clausthal-Zellerfeld coming from Osterode or Seesen in a southwesterly or northwesterly direction, respectively, you will come to a traffic light intersection after a few hundred meters (from Osterode it is initially downhill, from Seesen uphill to the traffic light). From this, Clausthal's main street, Adolph-Roemer-Straße, leads uphill to Kronenplatz. Follow the paved road (Hindenburgplatz or Adolph-Roemer-Straße) towards Zellerfeld (from Osteroder straight on, from Seesen turn left at the traffic light). After a few 100 meters you will reach the intersection at Kronenplatz, where you turn right into Erzstraße. After about 50 meters you will see the building of the Institute of Mathematics on your left .If you are entering Clausthal-Zellerfeld from the northeast coming from Goslar, drive through Zellerfeld. At the lowest point of the main road, turn right after a right-left bend, up the hill to Kronenplatz. There you turn left into Erzstraße. After about 50 meters you will see the building of the Institute of Mathematics on your left.
The building bears the number B7.
